You also keep saying dull brown halogens. It really is the only safe way, sorry but you are so wrong.

I can appreciate where you come from, suggesting people go the IDEAL route but these still are a significant upgrade over a dull brown halogen. The output difference in the REAL WORLD is significant over a stock halogen. However, I've used and installed these LED on many cars, not only my own but customers, friends and family. If you are trying to say that a projector with a quality lense is the IDEAL replacement the answer is yes. who designs them for the OEMs so what do I know right but again I'm just the guy with the Ph D. This guy posted output shots so I can prove how they really don't work. I just posted some similar info in another thread check it out here

but what you are trying to achieve isn't possible.Ī halogen reflector is made to reflect light in very specific wavelengths from a source that can't be replicated with a led chip. I was involved with many OEM applications and have toyed with countless retrofits on my own time. I do this for a living, designing reflectors and chip sets for Cree for over 8 years. You might perceive more output but the science behind the reflectors will prove otherwise. Post a decent pic of an output shot from an led in a halogen housing and I'll change my mind, but so far it hasn't happened. it's crazy how many people want to slap a $50 led bulb in your BMW to make it look "cool" but won't actually listen to the science behind why your stock halogens will out perform them in every way except perceived image. Sorry bud but you are so wrong in so many different ways. They run hotter, don't last nearly as long, lose a majority of the output after a few short years, don't have nearly as much output and look outdated. Moreover, no reason anyone should consider a halogen upgrade this day and age. The cut off is just like factory since it uses the factory housing and these LED project the light in a similar manner to halogen. They are also less expensive then HID upgrades. They are significant improvement over stock & HID for looks, output.
I disagree with the previous post mentioning these are downgrade. We encourage any current customers to post pictures if they'd like. What you see pictured is what you'd see installed. I never really thought to take pictures of them installed to be honest as most pictures don't do justice. We have many on the road today, including on my personal car. No cutting (Except in headlights unless you remove the cover). Does the metal wire snap on these correctly?īy the way, I have a 2011 BMW 328i Sedan (RWD).Ĥ500 Lumen and 6000 Lumen options.Didn’t want to short anything out so no way for me to text each wire to know what wire/pin location to add to my existing harness to give them power.Do you have detailed specs on these lights? Also there’s TONS of wires inside the actual headlight itself on the Projectors. I assume the turn signals and side markers don’t work because there’s no where to plug them in from the reflectors harness and pins are different/ missing on the harness for the reflectors to produce that ability in the headlight. If anyone makes/can make a harness to make these work would be wonderful lol.
The photo of the connector with less wires coming out are the reflectors and one with more are the projectors. Side markers, turn signals and high beams don’t work. I can plug them up, headlights work and daytime running lights turn on. The pins are also different between that main plug. As the LED projectors have one central plug on the back of the headlight. Standard LED REFLECTORS have 3 plugs from the harness. I have LED reflectors want the projectors would even be fine without the bending feature just love the look better.
